Charlotte’s Web is a movie about a pig who lives in a barn with many animals. One of the most important animals in the story actually is the spider. I think this movie was really good for many different occations, but it is definitley for younger kids. This is because older kids may want something with more action or more of a plot. Younger kids may like it because of all of the fun talking animals and playful scenes.
Spoiler Alert: Very young kids may be triggered by this because there are multiple references to cooking and eating the pig.
This movie starts with a young girl going to her father’s farm and figuring out that one of the pig’s new babies had been born small. Her father was going to kill it, but she insisted to take care of it. She has to go to school soon, so she has to give it to her uncle, where he was going to keep it in his barn. The pig got scared it was going to be the family’s Christmas dinner, so the spider in the barn starts using her webs to attract attention to the pig so the world wouldn’t let the uncle kill the pig.
Overall, I would rate this move a 5/10 because it was a little childish for me, but I am sure younger kids would like it. I would recommend this movie to ages 8-9 and below.
